So I am sure if any of you ever played public matches on Xbox live before, you must have experienced the intense amount of hateful slurs that come out of your TV. Lets face it; we live in a world where behind the interwebs, people feel like they can say anything without any reciprocation. Most of us just block the dweebs and move on with our day, not by any means a solution to the problem, but really the only thing we can do as the problem is much bigger than what we can tackle during an online game.

But when a major developer of a popular franchise, in which these situations take place, backs up and even makes light of these homophobic slurs, it creates a whole different problem. More »

Not impressed with your DSi’s poor quality 0.3 megapixel shots? Now you can take the same poor quality picture but closer! That means you won’t have to take two steps closer to take that perfect shot. With the near release of the upcoming L4D sequel, Left 4 Dead 2, special features dealing with the Xbox Live concepts are starting to take shape. Valve confirmed today that there will be a list of special awards to use on your gamer avatar on Xbox Live that are to be earned from completing various tasks in-game. Some of these items are crazy, ranging from a med kit to a garden gnome, and others are things like T-shirts. A detailed list of the items and how to get them was provided by Valve (Woot!):

9 years ago this week (October 26, 2000 to be exact), the PS2 was officially launched by Sony. It started at a hefty price of $299, and I remember paying that much for my PS2. This system was one of the best releases during it’s generation of new consoles, and some statistics released by Sony Computer Entertainment America shed light onto just how successful this product has been. Bioshock 2 has released a trailer of a multiplayer option: Play “Capture the little sister!” Team up with other people to capture as many little sisters as you can and stick them into their vents. Get more little sisters than the other team to win. The little sisters don’t look too thrilled to be picked up by you (not a big daddy in the MP, it seems) and to be deposited head-first into the vent. Funky but interesting choice for a multiplayer.

The series I have to say, feels very different than you expect of Final Fantasy, and also odd to bear the same name.
