At first I got excited when I saw that Disney Interactive Studios will be releasing a video game version of A Christmas Carol for the Nintendo DS. Then I remembered the new Jim Carrey movie version of the classic story and realized that it’s just another one of those movie-video game pairings that so often fail. This time Disney is targeting people who are not gamers: “a poster included with the game offers easy to follow tips for the first level.” All that is fine and well but it doesn’t make me forget that this is, essentially: “A Christmas Carol: The Book: The Movie: The Game.”
