Ever since Xbox 360 received the ability to receive Netflix movies via streaming, the ability to watch movies whenever seemed limitless. However, that boundary has now expanded further. Now, Netflix has arrived to the PS3. However, instead of being a streaming system similar to Xbox 360, the PS3 is currently limited to the use of a Blu-ray disc required to use this service. The discs required to use this are currently being shipped out, and hopefully in the near future, the firmware will be updated on the PS3 to allow direct streaming from online sources.

But that’s not all. In the future, Nintendo Wii may very well receive this Netflix capability also! Although a release date is not yet set, Nintendo has shown signs of pushing for a service like Netflix. Hopefully it will come out soon so that all of the current gen gaming consoles will all have this service and not be exclusive.

What do you think? Would it be better if all the gaming systems had Netflix for use? Or would it be a wasted investment for some consoles?
