Facebook Coming to the PS3?

Leaked: Images of a supposed social networking site that we all know and use into the PS3.
With the increased use of social sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and more, consoles have begun to consider the possibility of integrating these major functions of our daily lives into their systems. Announced at E3, Microsoft had already stated that they are going to work on an update that integrates these popular sites into their console. What’s left is Sony and Nintendo.

Well Sony users wait no further, a few leaked images from the Sony UK site had images of a Facebook type application that was in the account management tab. These images were later taken down, but they’re still on the web. SCE Europe will release more info on this soon. I didn’t realize social networking sites are beginning to make a huge impact on the world, but seeing as how even video game consoles feel like a service like this would greatly boost their rep, these sites are powerful tools: so powerful that you can even be traced and arrested with them.

Hopefully services like this will be available to all consoles soon! I think it would be a great addition. I bet Facebook could make tons of money if they sold their app on the iPhone/iPod Touch for money. Happy Networking!
