In Guitar Hero 3, can you not miss a single note on expert? Get the highest score on Crazy Train? Actually be able to complete Dragonforce’s Through the Fire and The Flames? Live in Rhode Island!? Okay, I know that last one wasn’t as exciting, but it really is the only one necessary for participation!
What I am getting at is the announcement of the first Wirebot Gaming Tournament: The Guitar Hero Rock the Box Tournament! This will be taking place on December 2nd, 2009 in Kingston, Rhode Island at the University of Rhode Island at 8pm! We will be pitting the sixteen participants who sign up here on Wirebot against each other in a single elimination bracket. You advance yourself by simply getting a better score than your opponent. Pretty simple. Just make sure you can play hard mode. We don’t mess around with n00bs.
The one who rocks the hardest and “brings the (coffee)house down” will not only be a Wirebot celebrity through all the coverage we will have of the tournament on the site, but also walk away $75 richer. The best part? FREE ENTRY!
So not only is this your chance to have fun in an awesome tournament, get notoriety for your gaming skills, and potentially walk away $75 dollars richer, you also will have a chance to hang out and play with fellow gamers face to face. It’s like trash talking over Xbox Live except now you can see facial expressions!
Really though, sign up, tell your friends to come cheer you on, and keep checking back for coverage of the Tournament leading up to, during, and after the final song goes down. In the words of Ozzy..
All Aboarrrrrddd! * maniacal laughter*
