Although Alexa already mentioned this new piece of hardware, I again wanted to draw attention to something that is both a blessing and a curse to the world of gaming. 1up.com has posted a gallery of them comparing the new Nintendo DSi XL to other portable devices.
In the world of gaming and entertainment, bigger is always better. The bigger the screens, the bigger the games, the bigger the explosions. All of it is great, but the new Nintendo DSi XL is giving me some reservations. It doesn’t look like it has changed much from the original DSi. In fact it is literally a clone just much larger. It appears to be double the size of a normal DSi and it completely devours the PSP. The issues I have with it are in a sense its MUCH larger size. I feel like maybe it is too big. Will it be too hard to handle? Will it feel really bulky in a pocket, if it can even fit in a pocket? Look at it in comparison to the IPhone. Being pocket enabled doesn’t seem like a possibility when it is that big. It also seems like it would be hard to hold up and control. Is it just me or is the size looking like a factor that could effect gameplay? Here is the link to the gallery.
Post a comment below and let me know what you think about the new DSi XL. Too big or is it just big enough?
ehh.. I already feel like the DS Lite is too bulky. This one seems way to big. But I guess I have to see it first for my final judgment.
People are buying it more than the PSP Go but sales are still not as good as the DSi when it came out. hm

DSi XL is the official name?
Like I said before, I think this is a gaming device that stays at home, but the larger screen is nice. Not sure if the resolution will be good..
