Yes folks, you heard it here first.

Meth Hero“, Activisions‘ new installment in the “Hero” franchise is set to release next November.

All jokes aside, no, Activision is not making “Meth Hero”, but the sequels to “DJ Hero” and “Band Hero” are already in the works! The company reported less than stellar sales for the new DJ simlulation, and it looks like that trend will carry on through with “Band Hero”. Personally, I’m getting a little tired of annualized releases of games.

Instead of thinking of something fresh, they continuously beat the crap out of their best franchises, making the games seem worthless. While the companies should be focusing on content for the other titles they have; they just drop another rehash 3 to 6 months after the launch of the previous one, releasing less than great DLC for the other games, almost forcing people to purchase the next installment. How many people continue to buy the same game over and over again until they realize, “Hey, I bought the last game because it had a few songs that I liked, this one has a few songs that I like, but I don’t think I’ll spend another sixty-four dollars on basically the same game I bought a few months ago.”

Sure, Activision will keep going with this charade for as long as we allow, but honestly, how much longer are we going to let this continue?
