…Leave it to Nintendo to give us another crazy peripheral. Introducing the created WiiWaa:

As you can see, the WiiWaa is a… thing. And it uh… bounces a lot. It kind of reminds me of Where the Wild Things Are. But mostly it scares me. Also, I understand that the video was trying to show how to put the Wiimote into the WiiWaa’s mouth, so it is shown slowly slipping in… but I’ll admit I was highly disturbed (even that sentence doesn’t sound right at all).

The WiiWaa is the brainchild of German game company Zoinks. It might be another call to families, saying “Look at us, we’re kid friendly!” But it might also be the response to the new EyePet that is coming out soon for PS3. Sure you can play games and interact with the EyePet, and even draw it pictures that it will then reproduce and bring to life… but can you CUDDLE it?
