Ron Jeremy, Guinness World Record holder for most appearances in adult films (over 2,000), claimed video games were more harmful to children than pornography. The comment was made during the annual “Great Porn Debate” at CES 2010 after anti-porn advocate Craig Gross made the remarked, “Porn is a cheap substitute for sex.” Then continued with, “[It] has become [childrens'] sex ed. It’s a false expectation.” It was then that Jeremy rebutted with, “We don’t want kids to watch porn.” But, he added, if they do there are far worse influences out there - video games. He concluded with, “[Studies have] found that violent video games are much bigger a negative influence on kids.”
Well isn’t that calling the kettle black. The man who has made a career out of degrading women and treating them as purely sexual objects is saying how video games do more harm to children. Hmm, I’m pretty sure seeing real life examples of how woman are treated in porn is a far worse influences than any simulated experience in a video game.
Is Ron Jeremy just being his chauvinistic self or is there a bit of truth to his statements? Are video games worse for children than pornography?

In addition, Ron simply wants to “shift” the blame to distract people towards games because he can and he knows there just as big of an ANTI games division as his own ANTi’s.
Why can’t people Look in the mirror, realize its all their fault, and blame themselves for their own problems. People can’t do it.If you kill and are a murderer, should the court prosecute the game publisher and dismiss the murderer from jail?
No, thats hypocritical to say the least. He also said
Mr Jeremy also urged parents to play their part in preventing children from accessing adult websites.
So if its OK if you watch your kids, why its suddenly different for video games? The responsibility is off the parent for what games kids play?
I still don’t see a large number of real life examples of people dressing up as WoW characters, roaming the streets and killing people to “level up”, nor do I see anyone trying to pop yellow pills to get a high score in life. Maybe only the mentally insane? But they were insane anyways.

You took the words right out of my mouth. It’s a bad debating method to shift the blame, but it works a lot of the time. This guy could could be clever and an idiot at the same time. =)
