I’ve always heard mixed reviews about DJ Hero. My friend bought it. My co-workers bought it. My classmates play it. But I was always mixed about my feelings towards this game. But never mind that, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has confirmed a sequel to this game, despite its sales largely dwarfed by Guitar Hero. It’s first month in the US only sold 175,000 copies, and its second month only 123,000 units. The game is extremely expensive and the concept is pretty out there (and really innovative to say the least), but Kotick thinks that eventually this game will strike the hearts of rhythmic gamers and become a larger success. I don’t think the DJ Hero franchise is going to be a big blockbuster. I’ll stick with Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I guess we’ll find out when the sequel releases! No release date is currently set.
