Popcorn and the movies. Television without commercials. Yoo-Hoo and a glazed donut. Some things in life are just perfect for each other. Video games and music are one of those things. While gamers are unable to control the requirement to earn that last gold trophy/achievement, they are able to control what pumps through their speakers while doing so with custom in-game soundtracks. To help change up that stale rotation of old-time favorites, the Wirebot bloggers will be providing a suggested playlist every Friday. Our recommendations this week include songs from: BOA, 2PM, MC Frontalot and a few others.
Patrick’s pick: Final Boss - MC Frontalot
Because: Trying to memorize it so I can freeflow the words, yo.
Yuliya’s pick: Hypnotic Dancefloor - BOA
Because: BOA rules, because it’s a great song to play anything to, and because I’m seriously considering making it my ringtone. *Sings along*
Jordan’s pick: Junesong Provision - Coheed And Cambria
Because: Coheed and Cambria is the ultimate nerd band. Their whole concept is based on a science fiction story the lead singer Claudio Sanchez created for his comic book series. Yeah. I don’t think it gets any better than that. F the haters.
Alexa’s pick: Heartbeat - 2PM
Because: Korean boy band 2PM produces such addictive songs. I love every song on their latest album 1:59PM. I can just imagine playing RPGs (it definitely sounds better than Leona Lewis’ My Hands for FFXIII *cringes) or hack and slash games with this in the background.
Bill’s pick: Australias - A Wilhelm Scream
Because: I can’t think of a better way to game than to the sound of guitars squealing at breakneck speed. A Wilhelm Scream is proof that real punk rock still exists, even after its small stint with fame in the early ’00s.
