Oh. My. God. I don’t even know if i need words for this. Their first foray into videogame mash ups, The Ocarina of Rhyme, got Team Teamwork(the masterminds behind the project) quite a bit of attention from the internet. Combining popular Hip Hop and Rap artists with music found in Ocarina of Time created such a weird vibe that actually, in some songs, worked.

Now they are back at it again, but this time tackling a whole different fan favorite: Final Fantasy VII. Vinyl Fantasy 7 has some outstanding tracks that include the Battle theme with M.O.P, Mako Reactor theme with Jay Z, and even M.F Doom doing Barret’s Theme. Best part is, you can download fo FREE. Word.

Seriously though, support the artists if you can and check out Team Teamwork’s other mash ups on their bandcamp website linked above.

Ehh.. I have to admit that I’m not really feeling it. Maybe if they remixed the FFVII music also, it would blend much more. Hearing the original FFVII track in the background without much tweaks to it makes me focus on that more than the whole mash up itself, thus making it hard to hear it blend well.

there are some good ones, and some tracks that are just better off being skipped. battle theme is so good, as is the prelude
