Earlier this week we heard reports from PopCap Games celebrating the fact that its wildly popular Plants vs. Zombies had made $1 million in sales during its first week on Apple’s App Store. Quite the accomplishment, but it didn’t stay on top of the Top Grossing section for long. In under a week’s time Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy port has risen above Plants vs. Zombies for the #1 spot. Fallout artist, Brian Menze has released a rejected Vault Boy perk illustration that was cut from Fallout 2. The shocking image was created after a higher up requested artwork for the in-game perk “Child Killer.” Looking back on the event Menze can’t believe he ever drew something of this sort. Soon after the artwork was posted on his DeviantArt page it was removed. We’ve got the image for you below. More »

All you need to do is have games for windows live installed on your computer and you’re good to go! More »
Have you heard about this game? I haven’t. That is, until I watched the GameSpot UK Developer Interview with 4A Games who showed off their wildly imaginative first person shooter that apparently will be in stores in two and a half weeks! More »
When thinking about the state of the gaming industry, one might feel a little sick. Though we are still infants compared to other major forms of media, video games have always been the teenager that parents just don’t understand. And by parents, I mean mainstream American culture. Though my headline is a tiny bit misleading, I do wonder if someone somewhere was pulling some strings in order to stop David Jaffe from creating the one videogame that could have given our industry the respect it deserves. According to the gaming world, Heavy Rain is apparently good. But my question is, is it good enough to make into a movie? Hell, is any game good enough to transfer to the big screen successfully? This is perhaps one of the biggest philosophical questions of our day, but like most things in 2010, we act before we think. More »
Even Playstation fanboys can admit that Home was a catastrophe when it first launched. There’s no denying that, but the interactive community has grown leaps and bounds since its initial launch in 2008. Tons of content has arrived in the virtual world, everything from game spaces to MMOs. Even with all the upgrades, advertisers are having a hard time supporting the platform as a successful means to reach an audience. More »
Ghostbusters on the Wii was neat, but I think we can all agree that it was lacking that certain something. Thanks to modder extraordinaire, Jack Rossi, we now know that something special! His hard work and dedication has produced the most epic Wii peripheral of all time, a fully functional Ghostbusters proton pack. More »

So far you heard me rant about how mediocre the Colonial Marines campaign was and how short, but sweet the Predator portion was. Today I am going to take a look at the Alien campaign to wrap up Alien vs. Predator. Prepare for another installment of The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. More »
Look, I’m tired, it’s been a long day, and I found this cool video on the internet. Yeah, someone’s gone and carved a Big Daddy from Bioshock 2 (an Alpha Daddy! Not a Big Daddy! That’s what the loremaster in me says) out of a tree. They kind of look like Jason in the video, too, and the classic, terrifying strings music from the game doesn’t help, either. Actual video below the cut, and whatnot. More »
After years of complaints from video game fans(including myself), Nintendo has finally answered us with the announcement of Other M. This is not a sequel to Metroid Prime, nor is it a classic sidescrolling adventure Metroid game of old. No, this is something different entirely. A few days ago in San Francisco, the press got a hands on with the game and gave us something to talk about. And boy, is it something! More »

Modern Warfare has an incredible fan base. Even if many gamers seem to be jumping off the CoD wagon and following the increasingly popular trend of hating on the franchise as of late, game lobbies are still packed and hundreds of thousands of head shots continue to ring out daily. My question for you is, what will game will you ditch MW2 for? Battlefield: Bad Company 2 seems to be the biggest competitor. More »

Oh dear, it’s happened. Mario’s finally run out of lives and has come back to eat your brains…erh well, mushrooms.
Anyways, Single Second, an independent design company powered by Big Cartel, came out with a zombie version of Mario t-shirt last year. I’m kind of surprised I didn’t discover this before, but I’m not completely devastated. More »

From Girlybubble: Not only is there a Hello Kitty Party Magazine, there now exists a Hello Kitty Party game for Nintendo DS. I’ve recently myself become a Nintendo DS owner and it is with great confidence that I say that Nintendo DS, by itself, is already a party. I can’t imagine what playing Hello Kitty Party on DS would be like. More »
