In a recent interview with Sci-Fi Wire, Vin Diesel spilled the beans on his next big project, Riddick 3. With each past installment we’ve seen a video game release some time after, in 2004 we got The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay and in 2009 we were treated with The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault of Dark Athena. Both titles were developed by Starbreeze Studios in conjunction with Diesel owned developer Tigon Studios. Could we have another Riddick game hitting consoles in the near future?

Say what you want about Vin Diesel’s acting, the guy is dedicated to gaming. Not every film-tie-in video game Tigon Studios releases is great (Wheelman), but they are better than the majority of other pathetic attempts at film to video game adaptions out there. Escape From Butcher Bay has been hailed as the best film adapted video game of all time by critics, let’s hope Tigon and Starbreeze continue their successful streak of quality video game tie-ins with a new Riddick title.
