Today at X10 Microsoft unveiled their Windows Phone 7 with Xbox LIVE integration. This feature allows users to sign in with their gamer tag and view a mobile version of their dashboard. Now you’ll be able to read the Spotlight feed, view which Achievements you are missing, and even play downloadable XBLA games.

For being such a highly anticipated announcement I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. The Xbox LIVE integration is minimal at best. The integration itself brings nothing new to the table that other phones can already do. The iPhone already has multiple apps that do this exact same thing (minus the ability to play XBLA games) and that is being done by a direct competitor. The addition of Xbox LIVE on mobile devices is a far cry away from a bad addition, I just wish Microsoft had stepped it up a notch with at least one feature that knocked my socks off.

Skip to the 2:20 mark for the good stuff!
