I am beginning to really, truly, love this guy. Jack Thompson, now disbarred attorney and hilariously famous video game “pundit,” is starting to rank up there with Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin in my category for ridiculous-people-who-are-really-funny-but-are-actually-100%-serious.

After watching the Bobby Kotick speech at DICE a little while ago, Jack had a thing or two to say about “addictive personalities”. He basically announced through a letter to the press that video games are the ultimate detriment to our children, society, and the human race in general. Or something like that. All Because Bobby mentioned in his speech, which was made in order to shed human compassion on a cold heartless corporation, that he no longer plays video games himself simply because he would become addicted, therefore hindering his other responsibilities. Oh brother.

Because Thompson is only going for publicity at this point, there is really no use in counter arguing anything he says anymore. We would most likely just end up “getting addicted” to proving him wrong. Instead, lets just have a laugh, and heartily sigh. “Oh, Jack!”
