For some reason, every console has to copy each other. If the Wii has motion control, Xbox and PS3 need it. If Xbox has avatars, the Wii and PS3 need them too. If PS3 has an interactive world where youre avatar interacts with other people directly controlling their avatars, then hell, Xbox needs it as well! Basically, the Game Room is Microsoft’s equivalent of Home, a virtual “arcade” where you can walk around, interact, and play games with your friends from Xbox Live. It seems kind of dull, but who can deny anything free? I know I can’t! More »
Though it isn’t much different than the previous announced Super Street Fighter IV boxart displayed in January, this slick and improved design will be the final cover for the game releasing at the end of April. It is pretty interesting that Capcom actually took the time to listen to fans, who didn’t really think the art was in the “super” category, and actually changed it before release. More »
If you don’t know what Persona is, it would behoove you to do a quick Wikipedia search, read up about it, and then scour Ebay for copies of all the games. If you love Japanese RPG’s and you don’t know what Persona is, this blog post just might change your life. You could also skip the whole eBay thing and just wait for July, when one of the best RPG’s I have ever played gets released on the PSP! More »

One of my favorite game series of all times has definitely got to be the Xenosaga trilogy for the Sony Playstation 2. Originally slated to be a six-game series, the number of installments was halved due to somewhat poor reception of the second game. All in all, though, this RPG series is definitely one worth playing. Find out why I think so… More »
With the Wii Motion Plus holding the big buzz around the Wii, many people are either flocking to it or waiting on it. The new Zelda game supposedly needs the Wii Motion Plus Peripheral to function, so those who are holding off on it now will need to purchase the thing eventually. Thankfully, we have an alternative to the add on in the form of Sunflex’s Wii Remote XL+ which builds the Motion Plus right inside the Wiimote itself. More »
Travelers’ Tales has released a new trailer for the highly anticipated LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 and it may just be the best LEGO game to date. Reality TV pretty much sucks. We all know this. But there is something that draws us gamers in when it revolves around our favorite pasttime. I wouldn’t be caught dead watching Survivor or The Real World, but WCG Ultimate Gamer, as cheesy as it was, had me hooked. Season 2 Casting begins all over the country in a couple weeks, so the question is, do you have what it takes? More »

Demos don’t do a game justice. They don’t accurately portray the experience of playing a certain game!
Or so thinks Sony. This was the reasoning behind their recently patented idea, as reported in Shack News: instead of releasing a demo that only showcases part of a game, make the entire game available to the player for free. The catch is that over time, the game will begin to “erode.” More »
