The game industry moves so fast that unless you dedicate days on end to just playing games and doing nothing else, many hit titles will fly right past you. It is also hard to play everything! Not always do you have the specific console a cool game comes out exclusively on, so when you do finally get around to buying it, there is so much backlog that your brain explodes. This is where I come in. Every week I will bring you one fantastic game that is absolutely worth playing. A game that swam under the radar while all the hit titles came barreling at you. I will inform you of a game you might have missed. This week, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3.

The PS2 had such a great run as a console. I still even have mine plugged in, and before I go to sleep try to play some classic titles until the sandman takes me. One of these is Persona 3. Released right at the death of the PS2 and birth of the PS3, Persona was somewhat known as the last greatest RPG that comes out on the now defunct console. But that didn’t hold Atlus back. Persona 3 was everything any RPG nerd would want. Grinding, dating, micromanagement; It was a dungeon crawler wrapped into an intense story surrounding a town plagued by shadows. Wonderfully driven and balanced, I have been playing this game for over two years now on and off, and every time I pick it up I have just as much fun as if it was the first.
