What Game Will Win Game of The Year?

With the GDC kicking off yesterday, between all the cool exhibits and awesome news, one thing everyone has been wondering is: Who will take the gold in game of the year? Everyone has a different opinion of who will take what, and Wirebot is no different. Find out our predictions after the break!

Jordan: Though all the contenders are wonderful games, I personally think there is no contest. Uncharted 2 revolutionized the split between movie and video game, integrating and working out the perfect balance. The best part is the game is not only beautiful, but also fun and engaging, leaving you in the same state unbelievable games such as Metal Gear Solid did. Batman was great, Assassins Creed II was amazing, and though I am a Bioware fanboy, Uncharted 2 will still come out on top.

Bill: All of the nominees are great games, but Uncharted 2 shines above the competition on so many different levels. When an action-adventure video game out performs the majority of films released in the past 5 years that counts for something! Uncharted delivers an experience you can’t get anywhere else and that is why it deserves to win!

Yuliya: I’m stuck between Demon’s Souls and Batman as who I think will win. Arkham Asylum finally gave us a Batman game that was GOOD. It was a long time coming, but the game does the comic hero justice. Finally. Demon’s Souls, on the other hand, is an innovative, grueling game that tested the best gamers. To put it simply… it’s a HARD game. And that’s what makes it so great. Both had amazing graphics and great gameplay. I’d make my bets on one or the other (I hope, anyway!)
