God of War III is all about slaying the Gods. There are a ton of Gods, Goddesses, and other notable Greek figures that Kratos has the opportunity to decapitate, pummel and choke slam on his way to Mount Olympus. Which God was your favorite one to murder?

Spoiler Warning - There are mind blowing spoilers below! Do not read if you haven’t finished the game completely.

Hades
The God of the Underworld is fought very early on in God of War III. Kratos takes him down on his own turf with his very own weapons. Was slamming the Lord of Darkness’ head into a horned roof your favorite God slaying moment?

Hermes
Even the quick and nimble Hermes wasn’t able escape Kratos’ wrath. After about 10 minutes in the ring with Kratos, Hermes is 2 legs down and bleeding out. Was sawing off Hermes’ legs your favorite boss battle?

Hercules
Hercules let his envy of Kratos’ fame affect his fighting ability. Clearly vengeance trumps envy when it comes to reasons to fight.

Poseidon
What a pain Poseidon was to take down. He just didn’t want to die, now did he? The first 20 or so minutes of the game are dedicated to taking out the God of the Seas and he was quite the admirable foe. It was only after Kratos squished his eyeballs that he was laid to rest.

Helios
Helios was a bit of a dirty fighter. Quite a few times he faked giving up before attack again. Quite frankly I was relieved when Kratos tore his head form his body.

Hephaestus
I didn’t want Hephaestus to die. I thought he was a pretty cool dude. He was only trying to protect his daughter after all. Still in the end Kratos did what he does best, gutted him like a fish.

Hera
What a drunk this lady was? Okay, well I guess she had a reason to be a lush, the world was ending and Olympus was about to fall after all. Calling Pandora a whore was the last strand. Kratos snapped her neck quicker than Mr. Miyagi caught that fly in The Karate Kid.

Zeus
I have a feeling many of you will be choosing this one, solely because you can beat Zeus senseless for as long as you want. Also, defeating Zeus was the ultimate goal of Kratos’ vengeance, so saying that the battle was rewarding is saying the very least.

Kratos
Technically the final God you defeat is Kratos himself. You charge up your blade for what you thought was meant for Athena before realizing that you were in fact killing the God of War himself.

God of War III has some of the most epic boss battles in video game history. Never have you felt this badass at the end of a game. After you decide which God was your favorite to butcher, try and think of one that you wish made it into the game as a rival.
