Hank Chien, a New York resident has beaten the controversial high score for Donkey Kong. What once started out as a hobby quickly evolved into a race for the world record, leading to his eventual 1,061,700 point high score.

With all the controversy and drama surrounding the previous record holders, Billy Mitchell and Steve Wiebe, one would be quick to assume that Chien would be arrogant of his accomplishment. It was quite the opposite though, Chien is as modest as can be claiming he died stupidly twice and that his score is “easily beatable.”
