It’s just past midnight on April 1st, and already the April Fool’s jokes are pouring in.

ThinkGeek introduces the iPad Arcade Cabinet - a retro style arcade cabinet that you can insert your iPad into. It comes with a joystick and two buttons (that really work!). Play hundreds of classic arcade titles on your retro new iPad! ThinkGeek promises to have it out in time for the iPad’s release.

If you try to click the “Buy Now” button, you’re treated to a “gotchya!” page (which is the source of the first image of this post). I don’t know about you guys, but I think this looks like a really cool idea. I would love something like this. Too bad it’s just an April Fool’s joke.

YouTube has a new format for us to view videos in - TEXTp. Clicking on it on the bottom right of a video will turn the video you are watching into one made entirely of text. It looks pretty cool. Watch some of your favorite video game trailers and scenes in ASCII.

Over at 1Up, you can find a mock-up trailer for the new Pokemon Kart for the Wii. You can watch it here. It’s kind of cute, actually. The whole time I was waiting for them to use their powers. Is it sad that I would probably play that?

IGN took Metal Gear Solid and Assassin’s Creed… and mashed them together into a new PSP game! Introducing Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The result is pretty funny and you can watch it here. Now that’s how an assassin operates!

Have a great April Fool’s day, and don’t forget to use Google to find more April Fool’s jokes! Oh, I mean, don’t forget to use Topeka. Because, you know, Google has officially changed their name. Didn’t you know?
