Bayonetta gets a 2D makeover

While everyone was hard at work this week pulling pranks, Platinum Games, developer of Bayonetta, were hard at work on a 2D trip to Paradisio. While the video is only a mock-up and will sadly never see the light of day, it is hands down the coolest looking 2D platformer I’ve ever witnessed.

One thing I wished developers did when they make cute little pieces like this is to actually make them. That is, I mean, if the reaction of the fans demand it. If the idea was great enough to mock it, then I would argue that it is great enough to produce fully if consumers get behind it.

Here’s to hoping that a 2D Bayonetta gets actualized.
