Marvel vs Capcom 3 confirmed; 2.5D graphics running in full 1080p

Last week we gave you the unofficial scoop on Marvel vs. Capcom 3 brought to you by Team Sp00ky, this week we’re adding a second source, PlanetXbox360, and giving you tons of more details involving the resolution, graphical style, playable characters and possible release date.

We are going to go ahead and say it’s official, Marvel vs Capcom 3 is real and on its way sooner than you may think. According to PlanetXbox360, whom had a staff member attending Capcom’s annual press conference in Hawaii when the announcement was made, some other juicy details he managed to get a hold of were: the game will run in full 1080p, sport a 2.5D graphical style a la Street Fighter IV and will feature, “Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto, Storm and a few others”

Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2 was also announced. Which isn’t such a surprise after the commercial failure of the Bionic Commando reboot and the success of the XBL/PSN downloadable title.

The news is set to go public later this week and is expected to be playable during E3 in June.
