This is Steve; everybody should know that he’s ecstatic about meeting all of you.
This fellow favors the up close and personal; a whopping 71 Melee kills, and after only 34 games has racked up 279 kills in 34 games. Not too shabby buddy! We’ve been playing together for the last 2-3 years, and we’ve known each other for 5, outside of being a little grenade happy he’s the most dependable team mate I’ve ever had.

Death and destruction follows this fellow, and you should do well to listen for the tell-tale ping of grenades bouncing towards you, promising a quick demise to any that are in there blast radius. While Steve wasn’t available to give me some advice to pass on to anyone playing the Beta, or anyone planning on purchasing the full game in the Fall, I can help you there.

Sword-Base:
This map is a valley of death to those that venture down to the ground floor, but full of promise if you manage to make it through this deadly journey; power weapons abound, and that may just be the name of your game. The Sniper rifle spawns on the ground floor between 2 pillars, to the left or right depending on the side of the map you spawn on, with DMRs liberally spread out, this is a map you want to keep a lot of distance on. Catwalks crisscross above the ground floor, giving anyone with a scope, the opportunity to dome you if you’re on the bottom floor or in the adjacent building; keep to the high ground and you’ll be A-ok.

Players always favor Jet-packs on this map, but if you want to really surprise them, stick with Stalker Armor ability; you’ll be king of assassinations in no time, just remember to move slowly! The Shot-gun is not much of a threat here because people tend to camp, and if you’ve followed my advice, you’ll keep enough distance and have a scoped weapon to ensure a quick stop and a sudden drop to any foe flying towards you with this boom-stick; and yes, a stick full of boom it is! (The sword follows this same strategy, keep your eyes open and you’ll catch them quickly enough).

Finally we’ll come to the most important part; COMMUNICATION! The names of the room you are in appear just below your radar, give a holler if you die and let your team-mates know what exactly they’ll be dealing with and which tactics they should use. Awareness supersedes preparedness, as you need to be aware of what you’re dealing with before you can prepare.

That’s a round up of day 2, and our first look at a new friend; we’re always looking for people to play with, so if you’re on the Beta, send me a PM with your gamertag and we’ll play a game or two.

Hello everyone!! I wasn’t able to give the writer Dave any info., but im here now. So far, from playing the Beta, I have got the new default controller layout down. I suggest using it. It just seems a little more practical to me. All the weapons are amazing. I really favor the spartan grenades. They have more of a bounce then they did in Halo 3. I find myself and countless others underestimating our new shield capabilities. We are used to the short round burst from the Automatic Rifle, followed by a Melee Attack to take down our opponents. We are doing the same thing in the new Beta, but our opponents are still standing after the attack. I’ve been practicing a longer burst of bullets, followed by the Melee and it seems to work well. I mainly use Scout as opposed to the other options. Reason is I need to work out a few tweeks in my abilities to use them to the fullest. I have enjoyed these past two days and hope to see you in the Arena!
