What has Wirebot been telling you since last year? Me and Bill both knew that Alan Wake would be a game you wouldn’t want to miss, and from what I gather from one of the top video game blogs’ review of the Microsoft published survival horror romp, it doesn’t look like we were wrong.

Alan Wake, so says Joystiq, is “driven — as is any good story — by the impulse to see what happens next. It offers up a believable world, characters worth caring about, enjoyable combat and a narrative I wanted to follow. Remember my post on what makes a good game worthy of a purchase? How is the first thing I look for is a story worth playing through? Well, Alan Wake looks to take that expectation and shoot it through the roof.

The main focus of the review is to let the reader know that the story is gripping and it is good, and for survival horror, this is key. You need mystery, and you absolutely need a good driving narrative, or else who cares about all those darkness cloaked dudes you’re throwing flash bombs at?

He talks alot more about the sweet sounding battle system and other elements of gameplay that make me excited to pick this game up. You can read the whole review here.

It feels so good being right!
