Square-Enix has officially released its first game for the iPad. Chocobo Panic will have you, and a friend if you so choose, herding colorful chocobos. Use 6 fingers to collect as many as possible before the time runs out in solo and co-op play, or compete against a friend in versus mode.

Sounds a bit shallow for a Square-Enix game, right? But that’s not the real kicker, Chocobo Panic will run you a whopping $3.99. 4 bucks to pet some chocobos? Yeah right, Square. Nice try though. You’re going to have to release that port of Chaos Rings real soon to make up for this pathetic excuse for a game.
