Square-Enix announced today that Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light for the Nintendo DS will be making it way to US shores on October 5, and to Europe some time later this fall.

The 4 Heroes of Light isn’t a huge departure from the series’ classic turn-based RPG system, with the exception of the “Crown System” that allows players to change between different classes at any time during battle. A change that could drastically alter the dynamics of battle. Aside from solo play, gamers can expect some great co-op action with up to three friends fighting through a dungeon at once.

Check out the gallery below, but beware, this is not an aesthetically appealing game.
