We have the first footage of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock (or Guitar Hero 6 if you’re keeping track) for you today. With it comes: Metal, Heavier Metal and Demons?!

Between the numerous renditions of Guitar Hero, Rock Band, DJ Hero, Singstar, and the upcoming Rapstar it’s easy to see why Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock wants to set itself apart from the rest of rhythm games. But is a Brutal Legend-esque story mode really what you want when you want to play a music game? Absolutely not.

To add insult to injury, the whole “I’m so metal I transform into demonic creatures” thing they are going for is extremely childish. Unless you’re one of those people who wears studded neck bracelets, works at Hot Topic, and has heated arguments over double bass pedals then I don’t think this is the game for you.

Seriously Neversoft? Rock Band 3 is just weeks away from being announced at E3 and this is what you’re bringing to the table, really?
