Final Fantasy. A household name among RPG enthusiasts (and even video game fans in general) comes at us once again with a new DS game called The Four Heroes of Light. Why the generic title you ask? Well, this game prides itself on going back to the basics. No epic story, no insanely fine-tuned character development, just a good old storybook tale of good vs. evil, light vs. darkness, all wrapped up in 100% customizable characters and Final Fantasy nostalgia.
Through the trailer just released, you can see a return to basics kind of feel that Matrix software is going for. One big attribute to this game is the streamlined battle system called the “Action Point” system. Instead of abilities tied to each characters mana pool, the entire party gets a pool of points that can be attached to attacks on a grid. This streamlines the system, though at this point I don’t know if that is a good or a bad thing.
Either way, the trailer looks mighty pretty!

Looks cool. i’d try it for sure
cute good they are making it more traditional but i do love a good story and character development.
Nice trailer. This seems like a good traditional Final Fantasy game for the new generation. It’s also refreshing for long time fans as well.
It looks really cute. ^ ^
I’m glad they went more simple this time too, I really like the concept. I’m sure lots of kids will like this game too.
Final Fantasy games will never end! XD
