The last time we reported on Ninokuni it was exclusive to the Nintendo DS. Famitsu, Japan’s #1 gaming magazine is now reporting that the Level 5/ Studio Ghibli venture will be receiving a HD makeover and releasing on Sony’s Playstation 3.

The brief article doesn’t mention any other details on Ninokuni PS3 other than it will be coming, but it is safe to assume that it will support the Playstation Move motion controller.

The Nintendo DS version makes use of its touch screen and relies on a stylus to cast spells, which can only accurately translate to a console version through some form of motion controls. Since the Playstation Move is essentially just a larger, virtual stylus, it’s the most logical conclusion.
