A premium version of Hulu, dubbed Hulu Plus, will soon be available for almost all of your Internet ready devices. Watch every aired episode from current seasons on ABC, NBC, and Fox on your iPhone, iPad, TV, PS3, and Xbox 360 for $9.99/month.
$9.99/ month? Are Hulu Execs out of their mind? Do they really believe anyone is willing to pay for content that is made available for free on their official site? It’s not only that though, subscribers get nothing except the convenience of accessing Hulu on a platform besides a PC. Paying customers will actually have to sit through the same commercials that users who watch for free online do. What about that sounds just? None of it.
Here’s an idea, why not make Hulu.com functional on the PS3’s web browser again, like it was so many months ago? Oh and how about incorporating HTML5 into the Hulu website so that iPhone and iPad users can access the site as well?
This isn’t brain surgery guys, why can’t you just release a compatible version of Hulu.com that works across platforms. It’s not like you’ll be losing any advertising dollars that way.
Luckily, Hulu Plus will most likely become one of the premium features included with a subscription to Playstation Plus and won’t cost those users anything more. The same could be said for the 2011 release on Xbox 360 as well. But then again that would be logical, which from the looks of it Hulu doesn’t do.
If you are an iPhone/ iPad user Hulu Plus is currently available in the App Store for free for an undisclosed amount of time. Everyone else wanting in on the action is going to have to try their chances at the closed beta signups found here.

I literally think it’s too much for monthly subscription.
It seems like Hulu Plus was mainly intended for Playstation Plus subscribers. To charge people $10/month to use it, making it free to PS Plus users is a good incentive for people to subscribe. And it’s just good extra money when people actually pay $10/month for it.
