With the current drought of AAA games this Summer we’ve put together a list of 3 games that are packed with enough content and replay value to get you through the release lull.

ModNation Racers - Out Now (PS3)

Remember the countless hours you poured into Little Big Planet creating your character, building levels, and fooling around in the thousands of user created levels? Well it’s the same story with ModNation Racers only this time you’ll trade in your Sackboy for a rubber Mod and your levels for race tracks. The first day I pick it up I spent the day perfecting my character (a 1950’s vampire!) and tricking out my Kart (a roaring racing stripped muscle car!) without even participating in any races. ModNation Racers will give you the most bang for your buck this Summer.

LEGO Harry Potter Years 1- 4 - Out Now (All Platforms)

If you’ve played any of the previous LEGO titles you’re aware of the massive amounts of hidden items, collectibles, and unlock-able content that is crammed into each game. LEGO Harry Potter is no different, it features 167 different playable characters, dozens of special abilities (invisibility cloak, lock picking, transfiguration), and a 2 player split-screen mode to keep you busy. The story covers everything from the first 4 books in the series and if that’s not enough for you then I don’t know what is.

Crackdown 2 - July 6 (Xbox 360)

Crackdown 2 is a sandbox action game with RPG elements. If you can, imagine a Grand Theft Auto that was made by Square-Enix and you’ll come pretty close to what Crackdown is all about. And when you’re sick of blowing stuff up solo, call over a couple of friends for some 4 player co-op or take it online with up to 16 players. You’ll kill more than a few days this Summer with Crackdown 2.

I have the demo for ModNation, and wanted to buy the game, but i still havent finished FFXIII, so my summer gaming will most probably be spent on that =P


ModNation is pretty cute xD Will try those games next summer (since it’s not summer here in the Philippines x.x) (=


lol I would get the Lego HP to try to lure my younger brother away from violent games - since i think he’d like Crackdown 2 the most
but a nice range of options haha thanks ^^
