We still don’t know when the Nintendo 3DS is getting released, or how much it’s going to cost, but at least we’re inching closer because Nintendo has announced when they will be releasing this information. Nintendo gave notice to Bloomberg Japan that they will be revealing the price and official release date in Japan on Sept. 29th.

Hopefully this will clear up the confusion. As you may recall, Nintendo of America president (Reggie) said on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last month that the 3DS would be released “next year,” only for Nintendo’s Japanese headquarters to later say Reggie’s comment was a “mistake.” At least we know it’ll be out before the end of next March in “all major territories.”

I’m hoping the US see’s the 3DS at the end of the year around Christmas time. I really want one of these under my Christmas Tree! I’m crossing my fingers and keeping my eye on Sept. 29th.
