How do I level quickly in We Farm? I’ve been getting that question a lot since I started the Let’s Play: We Farm movement here on Wirebot. There aren’t many useful guides right now on the interweb so I’ve put together some good tips found from myself and other Wirebot users. Read on my lost friends, read on:
- First thing is don’t get tempted to use your Gro - like ever. Unless you’re the kind of person who could waste a few thousand on this game and get to level 35 instantly, then go right ahead. And if you are this kind of person, why don’t you just buy a stake in the company and get free Gro?
- During you low level phase, the easiest way to gain lots of EXP is to make friends, visit farms with “open signs” and order stuff from them. Let me emphasis making friends here. This is a social game. Unless you want to EXP at the pace your fingernail grows, make lots and lots of high level friends. We have some high level friends on this list of Wirebot users, but you can also just spam add friends via the global leaderboard. Just touch the plus+ menu, touch leaderboard, touch someone’s name, touch add friend. (Good thing you can’t catch anything over the internet!)
- Animals give you the most EXP by far so always go for them first. Don’t worry about money so much as EXP is the only thing that counts in gaining levels.
- In order of best EXP per hour, Goat > Horse > Pig > Cow > Chicken / Duck > Sheep > Ostrich > Dog. If a friend has multiple open slots, go for the animal in the order I just listed and tell your friend to make more goats.
- You need to make some blue ribbon animals as only blue ribbon animals can be ordered by your friends. After all, people only want Grade A meat. In order to make them, you need to pet them around 10 times which makes them 50% happy. I’m not sure what algorithm that We Farm uses, but anecdotally I find that an animal that’s 50% happy will return a blue ribbon winner 80% of the time. If only girlfriends were the same way…
- Don’t bother making blue ribbon chickens. (They make your farm seem ghetto ;p) Ducks give the same amount of EXP/Hour as chickens, but you can obsess a little bit less about petting them and fulfilling an order. Build pigs instead of sheep and definitely don’t waste time with dogs. They are not man’s best friend when it comes to EXP.
- There is a limit to how many friends you can visit and order stuff. I’m not sure what that limit is, but at level 19 it seems to be about 10. I don’t know if this limit increases as you level or not. This means you should cherry pick and target high level friends with lots of goats before you go to your low level friends for orders.
- As far as earning money. If you have nothing better to do, Corn is by far the fastest way to gain money and EXP. At a 10 second growth rate that gives you 2 gold and 1 EXP per…that’s 720 gold / hr and 360 EXP / hr! But that is a painful way to earn money / EXP. By comparison Sunflower at 5 min intervals is 180 gold, 60 EXP. Lettuce is good profit / EXP if you want something to do every hour. I recommend setting up a bunch of lettuce and watching one episode of 24. Repeat until you finish all 7 seasons of 24. Though a more sane thing to do grow is Tomatoes / Pumpkins at 3 and 4 hour intervals. Last on the food totem pole - besides the fact that it isn’t really human food - is Orchard Grass at 53.5 gold, 20 EXP per hour.
- For buildings go for Kid’s Playhouse and Fruit Stands early on. Then when you get to level 25, spam Tractors. I wouldn’t really build anything in between unless you care about the “look” of your farm.
- Not really a leveling tip but, I noticed if you see a pimply face, blue overall wearing, red-hair farmboy next to someone’s farm, it means that person is online.

aww this game seems so interesting lol
a useful guide though for those that can check it out :]
it’s really not a hard game or even that time consuming. it has it’s flaws, like crashing a bit too often, but it’s free and accessible to everyone with an ipad/ipod. definitely give it a try!
