For any Final Fantasy XI players out there, Square Enix is giving you a big incentive to play the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV. For signing up to its up other MMPORG, Square Enix will reward you with free shoes!
These leather boots will be rewarded to any FFXI player who also signs up to play FFXIV. As well as being lightweight, the boots also give you an upgrade on speed.
To make things run smoothly, you will be able to transfer your current FFXI username to FFXIV. Once your switchover to FFXIV has been made, your name will be the name of your character and the name of your world/server, e.g. your character name is Destiny and your world name is Odin- you will become “Destiny Odin”.
The bonus only applies to the PC version of FFXIV which will either be released on September 22 or September 30, and that depends upon whether or purchase the Collector’s or standard version. The Playstation 3 version will be released in March 2011.
However, Square Enix is still trying to keep its FFXI players. In January 2011, the FFXIV players will be able to enjoy a discount of ¥1,344 to ¥735 on FFXI after their free month of FFXIV has been terminated.
