Recently Pokemon players from 25 countries flew to Hawaii to take part in the Pokemon world championships. There was a total of 5 champions from both the video games and trading card game categories. These winners included Ray Rizzo (pictured above) from Marlton, New Jersey who was able to beat his opponent Yasuki Tochigi in the senior videogame division.

Other winners included Shota Yamamoto winner of the junior video game division, Yuka Furasawa winner of the junior division Pokemon Trading Card Game championship, Jacob Lesage winner of the senior division Pokemon Trading Card Game championship, and Yuta Komatsuda who was winner in the masters division of the Pokemon Trading Card Game championship.

These winners won prize packages that included scholarships and full paid travel expenses to next year’s Pokemon Championships.

I’m surprised that a Japanese player didn’t actually win it^^


Boy ._."” This guys sure know how to play pokemon… But I think to participate in a tournament is so stressful ;-; i don’t think I could menage any battles because of my emotional system XD
