Square Enix is going all out with promotion for its upcoming MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV. Well, kind of, if you count hiring two different artists to create two different posters as “going all out.” Still, it’s never a bad thing to have more than one option.

It seems that when the two posters join forces to promote, they’d be a force to reckon with, appealing to all gamers–those that dislike a lot of colors and those that like a mix of colors blended onto one palette! I personally fall into the latter category and art director Akihiko Yoshida’s poster, which is shown on the right, caught my eye first. But Yoshitaka Amano’s poster (that’s the one on the left) is also really pretty–notice all the detail he slipped into the background?

Hope Square’s poster campaign goes well! I’d certainly would want one of the pretty posters, even if I wasn’t going to subscribe as a gamer.
