In 1991, the little black and white world of Final Fantasy Legend III was introduced to Japan on the original Game Boy. Two years later, Square Enix’s RPG hit stateside. And now, after twenty years…the classic is once again looking to thrill gamers with a timeless RPG experience, this time on the Nintendo DS as SaGa 3: Shadow or Light!
Besides a brand new and shiny name, Final Fantasy Legend III is also getting the customary overhaul of old graphics. Out with the old and in with the new! In addition to getting treated with a splash of color, SaGa 3 is to be upped one dimension, so RPG lovers can enjoy the experience in 3D!
Hopefully, we’ll eventually be seeing this game in the States–although it’s set to reach Japan sometime this winter, there’s no release date as of now for the US. Then again, we haven’t seen a release date for Final Fantasy Legend II’s remake for the US either, so we might have to wait a while.
Anyone so excited for this that they’re thinking of petitioning for a US release?
