A live action version of the beloved Pokemon series will be released. Not really. What has been released, or leaked I should say, is a trailer of a live action Pokemon movie, but it remains unconfirmed whether it was simply a Pokefan’s project or a sneak peek at a real film.

I think it’s safe to say the live adaptations of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Dragonball Z were disasters, but would a live Pokemon movie be too? The trailer depicts a much darker world than that depicted in the cartoon series. And once again, the main protagonist Ash is NOT played by an Asian actor.

I’m borderline hardcore Pokemon fan and I know that true fans would never approve of a live adaptation but the trailer really sold it to me, especially with the cool special effects. What do you guys think?
