The developers of the upcoming Medal of Honor game have been crushed due to their controversial judgment to allow players to fight for the Taliban in its multiplayer option. Even though they knew it was coming, they still commented that it hurt them dearly.
“I don’t understand why it came when it did but it came and it hurt. It was a morale hit and everything,” says executive producer Greg Goodrich. “Our intentions have never been anything but honourable and this Medal of Honor game is no different than any Medal of Honor game that has come before it, in that regard, in our intent and our tone. But because, on a character selection screen, three of those characters were called Taliban, that caused a problem and that’s what everyone focus on, Everything else that we’d done kind of went away and everything else that we’d talked about and they weren’t looking at the entire piece and the entire message.”
Although the idea of playing as a Taliban was an awful decision they made, Goodrich says he persists that fans who are observant will understand that it is actually a tribute to the soldiers rather than an insult to the USA. Despite the addition of the Taliban, I am still looking forward to playing this game, but I hope people will learn that the Taliban option is not a taunt.

aww wow
slightly better in this sense to be safe/not controversial especially since the game isn’t out yet
but :\ that they had to change it even though their intentions for including it were on the positive side
thanks for the news~

what?! that sucks… omo
bad bad news
i can see the argument as it would be unpatriotic if one plays as a taliban and kill american soldiers. i am indifferent as it is only an option in the game.

wow the controversy is just the MOH team being politically incorrect. seriously people it’s a video game and America isn’t exactly the apex of honorable either.
Aww, I feel sorry for Goodrich. People definitely do tend to emphasize what they perceive to be bad things, so much that the good things don’t seem to matter anymore. D:
Thanks for the news!
Yeah… I think it isn’t like this just with Goodrich… But with everyone in the world… People seems to love bad things and they only think about this… And no matter what you do, it isn’t good enough… So sad there is so much people like that in the world =/
