The balance between good and evil in Siren of Yin Yang 2 has been destroyed and it is your destiny to stabilize it back to harmony. The game is extremely similar to bejeweled, except it has its own features which are quite interesting.
Like bejeweled, you match 3 or more symbols of the same color together to cancel them out. The aim of each level is to collect the required amount of Yin Yangs to complete each level. There is a set time limit for each level which makes it so much more challenging. The are special symbols such as ‘lock’ which are pieces that can’t be moved but you can still use them to form a combo, ’spiral’ which gives you an extra 5 seconds to collect your Yin Yangs and ‘Ninja star’ which strikes an entire column and row.
After you complete each level you earn elemental enhancement points which can be used to give you various advantages. Place a point into any of these 4 creatures will give you: Phoenix (red) enhances the number of random explosions, Tiger (purple) gives you extra time, Dragon (yellow) gives you bonus score multipliers and Lake God (blue) increases the number of Yin Yangs that can appear on the screen.
I actually quite like this game, because I can see that the creator has but in a lot of effort. I liked the background music in the beginning, the awesome electric effects when you cancel out the symbols and the fact that if you get stuck, you can just click the reshuffle button near the bottom left to refresh your board. Siren of Yin Yang 2 has everything I look for in a game; challenging, enjoyable, good graphics and accessible for people of all ages.
Siren of Yin Yang 2 is definitely a game worth playing! It’s not time consuming and I didn’t want to stop once I started. I especially loved the fact that the creator has evolved the Bejeweled components and made it so much better. It is undeniably one of the best flash games I’ve played so far this year!
