Final Fantasy Versus XIII, part of a long time PlayStation and PS2 exclusive-franchise, may finally be going multiplatform. Ever since the bombshell at the 2008 gaming expo in Los Angeles dropped that FFXIII was going to be released on the 360, we wonder if that will also be the fate of Versus XIII.
FF Versus XIII character designer Tetsuya Nomura has repeatedly said that Versus will remain a PS3 exclusive, but Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada had tweeted “What was said at the investors meeting was only that until the official announcement is made everything about all titles is pending.”
Today however, SE posted a job listing for a Battle Planner and in the requirements mentioned, besides experience and knowledge, but also “development experience on a PS3, or Xbox 360 package title.”
Though that statement may be construed in different ways, it still points to the possibility of Versus XIII going multiplatform.
And finally, in Japan, FFXIII will be released for the Xbox360 in this coming December. Looks like all of the Eastern companies are having marketing issues in the West.
