It’s that time of year again when the dead walk amongst the living and we give them candy to keep them at bay. What is a better way to celebrate this momentous occasion than by reminiscing on a time when gaming has scared the living crap out of us! This week we want to hear what game made your hairs stand on edge.
My most horrifying gaming experience goes to Dead Space. It was so spooky that I couldn’t even play it at night and even in the middle of the day with every light in my house turned on it still managed to make me jump in my seat. That didn’t stop me from pre-ordering Dead Space 2 though. Sometimes it feels so good to get the living crap scared out of you!
What is your most spooktacular gaming experience?

i’ve actually never had a scary gaming experience.. i’m too scared to play those kinds of games xD but i watched my bro play bioshock… and it was SCARY :O
I remember back in 6th grade I bought Devil May Cry… and then after the first battle I was scared crapless of spiders.
It chased you down a freakin’ spiral stairway spitting lava at you. That’s pretty freaky for an 11 year old.
Then the game didn’t get too scary. Otherwise the general atmosphere of Resident Evil 4 was pretty freaky/suspenseful.

I creeped myself out playing this old, old, old PC game Shivers 2. I can vaguely remember that you start off checking yourself into a motel, you get a message saying your friends are missing, and then all of a sudden you have this weird dream. You wake up only to find the town you’re in is deserted. One of the things you’re supposed to do is wander town collecting these voodoo doll things. I never finished playing because it creeped me out so much—even during the day.
