… And I have hit a staggering point– I am level 50 now in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Sadly, only leveled up once today. I kind of wish I didn’t go to Searing Gorge, but too late now I guess. This place is a grinder’s paradise. All the quests require you to kill a bunch of monsters. It got really boring and tedious after a while… unless you really like grinding.
So just a recap– on the Alliance side, if you want to solo (as in doing quests to level up), and you are around level 48-50, you generally have three places to go– Uro’gatar (on Kalimdor), Searing Gorge (on Eastern Kingdoms) and Hinterlands (Eastern Kingdoms). Uro’gatar is conveniently next to Tanaris (if you did the gnome-related quests). Searing Gorge is underneath Menethil Harbour (by two regions). Hinterlands is above Menethil Harbour by 3.
The other method to level up is to do dungeon runs. I highly recommend this method. I’ll maybe post up a thing or two on some runs tomorrow, when I do some to get to level 60.
I thought I’d post up the map to Searing Gorge to kind of show you what soloing around that area means. As you can probably tell, you will be running around, in circles literally. There really isn’t a “road” so a lot of monsters are spread evenly throughout the place. You’d either get attacked by a gnome, spider, fire elemental, or a golem. … Or the Horde player that’s there.
