Not your typical puzzle game, Meeblings is a flash game that masks its difficult challenges with the cuteness of little rock-like critters.

Review Guide

You pretty much figure out how the game works as you go along. Clicking “how to play” in the main menu shows you all the different type of Meeblings and their powers, but who’s going to memorize all of those just to play the game? The levels are designed so that you start with one kind, then are introduced to the others one at a time. As for the levels themselves, all I can say is get the Meeblings to the sign that says “WAY OUT.” You come up with the path to get there, using the special powers, and anything goes. The bottom of the screen shows you how many you need to save, and luckily you usually don’t have to save all of them (I’ve lost quite a few to holes in the ground).

This puzzle game is definitely one of my favorite games. It’s a ton of fun, it’s a lot different from the other puzzle games on Ningin, and there are plenty of levels to enjoy (not to mention a Meeblings 2!). There’s no score to worry about; this game is purely for amusement and passing the time, so don’t hesitate to reset a level you’ve screwed up halfway. Difficulty-wise, Meeblings covers a wide range. I’m sure anyone can pass the first ten levels or so, but it’ll take a really clever thinker to finish all 50. And of course, I have to mention just how adorable the Meeblings are. Who can resist those cute little smiley faces? Plus, if you just leave them alone for a while, one or two will stick their tongue out at you. Okay, so that’s not exactly cute but still.

Meeblings doesn’t have any distinct downfalls that I can point out. Some people might not like that there’s no scoring system. Some might not like the music (like me), but you can turn it off whenever you like. And some are just cold-hearted people who don’t appreciate the cute things in life. Just kidding!

To sum it all up, Meeblings is a great puzzle game and I definitely recommend you try playing it if you haven’t already.
