He declared to Develop that ,“There are too many games released today” and he also stated “that it’s interesting because it’s very, very busy - it makes it very hard as a player to keep up. In recent years, there have been many movies that allow one to watch it in high definition 3D. What if I told you that consoles are the next target for the integration of the 3D element. Sony’s Mick Hocking has stated in a recent interview that, “more than fifty titles [are] currently being converted into 3D, and this number is growing fast. Last year, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft conducted a fundraiser by selling Pandaren Monk virtual pets to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. A total of $1.1 million was raised for the cause last year and this year they’re conducting another fundraiser but instead, they’re selling Lil’ Ragnaros and Moonkin Hatchling pets, with 50% of the sales raised from the Moonkins going to the cause until December 31st. Stargate Resistance, the third-person action game will be shutting down in January 2011 according to a new announcement on the official site. The license with MGM has recently expired which means it prevents the company from selling any new copies of the game. More »


Sega’s new and upcoming game, Binary Domain, comes from the same people who developed the Japanese Mafia game, Yakuza. Binary Doman features a very Western theme as the game is a shooter. It promises high leveled AI enemy robots, as well as molding a setting that would feel familiar to both Western and Eastern gamers. More »

Now Katsura Hashino, the game’s director, has hinted as to what type of game Catherine is and what to expect from it. Back in February, Square Enix announced that a trio of add-ons were to be released in the second half of this year for Final Fantasy XI. These add-ons were to follow a new storyline in the world of Abyssea, which features deadly monsters and exciting quests. The first mini-expansion, ‘Vision of Abyssea,’ was released on June 21, the second, ‘Scars of Abyssea‘, was released on September 8 and the third and last, ‘Heroes of Abyssea‘ is set to be released on December 6.
