Flash Game Review: When Penguins Attack TD

Penguins are evil. They’ve raised an army to attack humans. Now its up to you to crush their armies. When Penguins Attack TD is more of a puzzle game then anything else. You ought to use your upgrades and cash wisely, as well as your setup of turrets, electricity towers, and flamethrowers. One downfall of this game is that it takes a long time.

Basically you have to defend the human race against the evil penguins and beat the onslaught of penguin waves by setting up a death trap for them made up of guns. Essentially a point and click game that tests your strategy. The game paces itself so it’s not going to send in waves of weak penguins all the time– it’ll switch up to harder penguins– faster ones, a lot more faster ones, ones in tanks, airplanes, and then mix-and-match and then improved ones again and then mix and match. Basically, you better place your guns in the right place.

The good thing about it is that you get to sell the guns for the same price you bought them as (and upgraded as as well) so you can easily move guns from place to place.

Aside from a very puzzle-based concept, this game will take forever. I enjoy the the strategizing and seeing penguins perish to my insane set ups. But I wish things went faster and had more variation. By the half point, you’re pretty much good to go and all you need to do is just get the plasma tower and upgrade that and just sit back and watch.
