To start off, let’s congratulate Halfbrick in sales for their iPhone app, Fruit Ninja which managed to reach six million paid downloads! To make up for all the murders of virtual fruits in their game (more than 150 billion fruits), Halfbrick is joining forces with the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation. During their partnership, the company will pay for the development of a fruit orchard in a “low-income Native American community.”

The planting and continuance of the orchard will be done by the foundation. You can keep track of the process of growth of the orchard at the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation or Halfbrick website.

Oh the irony. It’s great to see Halfbrick doing something like this! I never really thought of it happening. What do you guys think?
