One of the last remaining members of the old Square Soft staff, Toshiro Tsuchida has now left Square Enix. Whether or not this is another high profile termination is unknown. However, what we do know is that this could be the end of the franchise that he created under SquareSoft, Front Mission.
From a tweet by Hiroaki Kusano, a former Square Enix employee himself who had worked on the Front Mission series:
Toshiro Tsuchida’s last major role in Square Enix was Battle Planning Director for Final Fantasy XIII. And aside from being director and then producer for most of the Front Mission installments, his other contribution to Square Enix is as Battle Director for Final Fantasy X.
I believe as of now, the only remaining high profile employee that remained from Square Soft (and once they merged with Enix) would be Tetsuya Nomura.
